´´This development is great for Timegate. With the service business launch, we are hoping to measure samples from various applications to explore the usefulness of Timegated® Raman spectroscopy in different application areas. Timegate team is eager to serve our customers with this analytical service. Send your samples to us and let´s find out your sample´s Raman spectral fingerprint!´´

Timegated® Raman spectroscopy

Raman spectroscopy is based on the Raman effect, discovered nearly 100 years ago (1928). It is a non-destructive and label-free technique for studying vibrational or rotational modes present in a material without extensive sample preparation. A Raman spectrum yields a wealth of information about the sample and is usually regarded as the fingerprint of the sample. However, in many cases, sample-induced fluorescence obscures the Raman signal during spectral detection. Timegated® Raman Technology provides an efficient technical solution for measuring the Raman spectrum where fluorescence has been a showstopper.

Key advantages of Timegated® Raman Spectroscopy:

  • Real fluorescence suppression
  • Effective removal of ambient light and
    thermal emission interference

But not all materials are Raman active. Please check if your sample or the analyte of interest is Raman active. Typically, atomic elements are not Raman active as Raman is a form of molecular spectroscopy. If you have any doubts please contact us with the name of the analyte of your interest to be detected, and or quantified and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
