Timegated® Raman spectroscopy
Raman spectroscopy is based on the Raman effect, discovered nearly 100 years ago (1928). It is a non-destructive and label-free technique for studying vibrational or rotational modes present in a material without extensive sample preparation. A Raman spectrum yields a wealth of information about the sample and is usually regarded as the fingerprint of the sample. However, in many cases, sample-induced fluorescence obscures the Raman signal during spectral detection. Timegated® Raman Technology provides an efficient technical solution for measuring the Raman spectrum where fluorescence has been a showstopper.

But not all materials are Raman active. Please check if your sample or the analyte of interest is Raman active. Typically, atomic elements are not Raman active as Raman is a form of molecular spectroscopy.
