MicroPlate HTS System Now Enables Customizable Well Mapping

We strive to continuously improve our product offerings. As the latest product development effort, mapping capabilities have been added to MicroPlate HTS systems. Microplate HTS enables effortless automated measurements from half-area and full-area 96 well microplates. For more information see HTS Product page .

Previously the HTS system carried out a singular measurement from the center of each well from a chosen depth. This is still an option going forward, but the user can now also choose to map each measured well with a chosen pattern.

The user can choose which part of the wells is mapped and what the mapping pattern is. The number of columns and rows determines how many measurement points there are in the pattern and the pitch value determines how far apart the measurement points are. The user can even adjust the number of layers which adds layers of measurements in the depth (towards deeper in the sample) direction. This can be especially useful for transparent structures or structures that show variability in the depth direction.

The resulting spectra can easily be plotted within the measurement software or exported to an external software application. Each spectrum has clear labelling that identifies from which well, column, row, and layer it originates from.

The user can freely choose which well or wells to measure.

 

The user can choose which part of the wells is mapped and what the mapping pattern and density should be. Lower part of the microscope image includes particles that are included in part of the mapping pattern and that create clear Raman responses.

The resulting spectra can easily be plotted within the measurement software or exported to an external software solution. As seen from the plot, the Raman responses in spectra originating from the particles clearly differ from spectra measured from locations where no particle formation was present.
