Introducing PicoRaman at SciX 2017

Written by Timegate | 3.10.2017 5:02

Timegate participates on the great Scientifix Exchange, SciX, held during 8th-13th October in Reno, and we introduce our new spectrometer PicoRaman there. The new model of Timegated® Raman Spectrometer has just been released and we are proud to join the SciX event with such a great novelty.

New PicoRaman spectrometer is equipped with 100 picosecond pulsed excitation and time resolved single-photon counting detector array, enabling effective, real fluorescence rejection from Raman signal and making both quantitative and qualitative Raman spectroscopy analysis more accurate. Spectral analysis becomes more specific and reliable as fluorescence is no longer a disturbance. In addition to effective fluorescence rejection Timegated® Raman measurement approach provides a totally new data dimension – time. In addition to spectral wavelength axis, we can now see also how photons occur in time dimension.

You can meet us and see the PicoRaman at Flash Photonics booth number 22. Don´t miss a presentation of Tiina Lipiäinen from the University of Helsinki on Tuesday the 10th on a session 17RAM09: Transmission Raman Spectroscopy at Carson 3, where she gives a speech with topic “Time-gated Raman spectroscopy and 3D data analysis for quantifying fluorescent pharmaceuticals”. More information about the session in here.

We are looking forward to see you in Reno!

SciX is organized by Federation of Analytical Chemistry and Spectroscopy Societies, FACSS. The mission of FACSS is to facilitate the exchange of ideas and to disseminate technical information that deals with the applied, pure or natural sciences. To achieve this task, FACSS organizes meetings and thus give a chance to present papers in the fields of Analytical Chemistry and allied fields. They also organize workshops, tutorial sessions and short courses on current scientific topics. There are many possibilities for networking and seeing what is on top of the research at the moment. More about SciX in here.
